Thanks guys. Got to the dealer this morning, they told me that AW32 hydraulic fluid is a universal type hydraulic fluid, I also use it in my log splitter. As "tasman" pointed out New Holland recommends NH134 fluid, which I now have. I also now have an Owners Manual for my tractor. I have to bring them my hydraulic hose, it split, the dealer said it might be under warranty, they'll send it back to New Holland. Thanks again. ....

Please use high quality hydraulic oil that meets JD303 specs such as NAPA 85-405 or similar- $2 per gallon saved on cheap oil is false economy. What line failed? ....

Don't have an exact name for the line, but it was directly over the hydraulic filter, small hose about 3 or 4 inches long, it split lengthwise. This is my first tractor and I'm learning slowly but surely. Put on my quickhitch today, took me a few hours but I finally got it on. ....

Is this a steel line? I have seen steel split lengthwise but never rubber, unless it was cut, abraided, or crushed. If it is a steel line I'd consider using a rubber one. From an engineering standpoint, if the steel line was made properly (and quite possible it wasn't if the split ocurred on or next to the seam where it was welded---look inside to see the weld) then the next thing I'd look for is twisting or torquing longitudinally between the components it's attached to. If that is the case, then it will likely happen again, which is another reason I'd go with a rubber one. ....

I like the CaseIH Hytran for colder climates or the Super UDT fom Kubota. The Ultra Hytran is about a 10 to fifteen weight vs a 30 weight that is standard for most generic hydraulic fluids. Super UDT is just a bit thinner yet at about a 5 weight. ....
